About Us

Shepherds Artisan Bakehouse products have been at the market since about 2004 with Jack taking control in about 2007. Jack said he makes his bread using the traditional hands on and slow bake technique. Over the years Jack has introduced a much wider range for the market. He likes the feed back from his customers, on the new lines as it helps him with his decision making.

He wants everyone to know that their award winning SOURDOUGH bread is “yeast free, sugar free and is considered low GI for all those diabetics out there.”

Shepherds has Gluten Free breads as well, such as Spelt bread. For those that don’t know, Spelt is an acient grain which has qualities of being low gluten, low GI, high fibre and protein.

Their Philosphy is: Quality without comprimise, nothing beats food made from the hand and served straight from the oven. Healthy food should taste fantastic and be affordable.

The Market will re-open 2nd October.

We will be working over the next few weeks to put in place all necessary processes to ensure that going forward the market can continue to operate without closure.

As you all know the case numbers are escalating still and lockdowns are restricting every part of our lives at this stage until Mid-September. This impacts not only you, our customer base but the stallholders as well and we don't want to have to stop again, that is why we are not rushing back.
